Grace Ballard, LPC | Sex Therapist

My Practice

Do you feel isolated in your experience? Struggling with feelings around sexuality, expression, relationship and gender identity can be a confusing and frustrating experience. I know how hard it is to feel stuck, and how scary it is to wonder if you'll ever break free of the cycle. Sometimes change feels impossible. You're ready to take a risk, but you're not sure how to go about it. If you want to cultivate more freedom in your life, to feel happier and more satisfied, you've come to the right place.

I'm a poly/kink aware sex therapist practicing contemplative psychotherapy, which utilizes mindfulness and a belief that we are all intrinsically wise and whole. I support a wide spectrum of sexual expression, and welcome diversity. We will go at your pace, and create together a warm environment in which new experiences emerge.

I accompany people on their journeys. I will be with you in your pain and your joy. I prefer swimming in the deep waters: exploring the bigger questions around the meaning of life and death, how to find and maintain fulfilling relationships, how to thrive in our precious, finite time here.

“We react against the possibility of loneliness, of death, of not having anything to hold on to.  Fear is a natural reaction to moving closer to the truth.  If we commit ourselves to staying right where we are, then our experience becomes very vivid.  Things become very clear when there is nowhere to escape.” —Pema Chödrön
